3DS System
About 3DS
The 305 Dice System (3DS) is a simple XP and dice system that is quick and easy to use, gives an advantage to those who remain in our community, but is balanced to ensure that new players have a fun time.
Get Started
Click on the main ATM in the loading zone to get the HUD. Put on the HUD, it will send you to a site to finish setting up your profile. Once you’ve done that, click “menu”, click “reset”, then put on the Meter. You’re good to go!
Using 3DS
Press the dice icon to bring up the 3DS menu. Make your post in IC. Then, if you want to attempt something out of combat, click “Attempt”. If you want to attack someone in combat, click “Attack”. If you want to heal someone, click “Heal”. The 3DS system will roll dice, and automatically apply the result.
(If it’s a PvE fight, there will be things with green hover-text. Click them!)
There are other buttons you should probably know as well:
- The “?” button will give you help info, handy if you want to use the chat commands or built-in RP tool.
- The “⛭” button allows you to set the HUD size, and to page a GM if you need help.
- The “×” button minimizes the HUD to a small size (but still allows you to use the chat commands!)
- The “MENU” button shows some other important buttons:
- “Profile” lets you set your IC Name and other things, and is also where you would go to level.
- “Reset” resets all of your stuff, and is what you would want to press whenever you are out of combat.
- “Sync” does the same as “reset”, but it’s safe to do while you’re in combat.
- “Reset All” does the same as unpacking a fresh comm.
- The “$” button opens up your DMARK wallet. The DMARK system is an entire IC economy system.
- The “🎧” button lets you interact with the integrated faction comms and business pagers.
(Note: Most of 3DS is accessible to text-only clients like Speedlight and Radegast, type /3 help? to get more information)
How does it work?
- Every 10 minutes, you will receive 5 XP.
- Your level is determined with this formula:
level = floor(sqrt(xp)/5)+1
. - The maximum level is 150.
- Your level will give you four stats, “Attack Modifier”, “Armor Class”, “Base Damage”, and “Max HP”.
- If you “roll”, you publicly roll a d20.
- If you “attempt”, you roll a d20, add your attack modifier, and if it’s equal to or greater than your target’s armor class, the attempt is a success.
- If you “attack”, you do the same as “attempt”, but if you succeed, you deal your base damage to your target’s HP. There’s a 25% chance the base damage will be one lower, and a 25% chance the base damage will be one higher.
- If you “heal”, you heal your target for half of your base damage. This can never fail. (and no, you can’t heal yourself).
